Kisha J. Pinnock received a B.A in Government in Politics with minors in Theology and International Studies form St. John’s University. At St. John’s University, she was a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society and the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success. Ms. Pinnock was also a recipient pf the National Engaged Leadership Award, St. John’s University Academic Achievement Award and The Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities Award.
Ms. Pinnock attended Rutgers Law School, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate, Criminal Law Certificate, and was awarded the Mary Philbrook Public Interest Award and the Dean’s Pro Bono Publico Award for Exceptional Service. While in law school, Ms. Pinnock served as a law clerk for the Honorable Joel Schneider, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and won First Place in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition. In addition, Ms. Pinnock participated in expungement clinics and court mediations at the New Jersey Superior Court and Municipal Court levels. After obtaining her J.D., Ms. Pinnock clerked for The Honorable James Hely, in the New Jersey Superior Court, Family Division. Now, Ms. Pinnock is a member of the New Jersey Bar and has also been admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Ms. Pinnock is deeply committed to public service. She has always been service minded and often looks for ways to give back to her community. Ms. Pinnock serves as a volunteer attorney to represent victims of domestic violence through the Battered Women’s Legal Advocacy Program in final restraining order hearings.
