New Jersey Divorce Attorney Discusses If You Should Get a Prenup

New Jersey Divorce Attorney Discusses If You Should Get a PrenupAs an experienced Divorce Attorney I am often asked by people if they should get a prenuptial agreement prior to marriage.  In New Jersey, prenuptial agreements have grown in popularity because that predetermines what would happen in the event of a dissolution of the marriage if you get divorced. Whether you should have a prenuptial agreement or not greatly, in my opinion, depends on the difference in assets that the parties are going to have when they come into the marriage. If one has a much greater income and much more assets, one would probably want to have a prenuptial agreement to protect those assets and their earning ability so that they would not be subject to equitable distribution.
