As an experienced New Jersey Attorney I am often asked what one can do if they are unhappy with the results of a motion or a trial. In New Jersey, if there is a motion that’s heard or, in fact, a hearing is held and you are not satisfied with the results of it, you have 45 days in which to file an appeal from the judge’s decision. That appeal is heard in the Appellate Division of the state of New Jersey. If the appeal is granted, then the judge’s decision is vacated.
